Dog Sheds Delivered
Before the paint and the smiles, these dog houses started in the workshop.
At the Cochrane Men's Shed, several men came together to build dog houses (dog sheds) using donated materials — bringing men together not just to give back to the community, but for their own connection and well-being too.
And recently, Sacred Sûga Society brought the dog houses to Nakoda Elementary School, where preschool, kindergarten, and ECR students painted them. It quickly became all about the kids — their creativity, their excitement, and the chance to be part of something meaningful.
A great reminder that when men come together with purpose, it creates something bigger — for themselves, for the kids, and for the community.
Special thanks to West Fraser, SureWest Roofing, and Home Reno Heaven for their generous donation of materials, and, to our own Eric Mohun for leading the way on this project.
And thank you to Tony at The Common Works for his generosity and guidance as we build more projects in the wood shop.
